As promised earlier this week on the facebook page, here is my latest FREE pattern! And it is really a jewel of a pattern, if I do say so.
This is a zill (finger cymbal) pouch for bellydancers, but anyone who loves lovely little things would appreciate it, I think! It was inspired by Egyptian Assuit, a cotton or linen fabric which is woven with small bits of very thinly pounded silver to create rich metallic patterns. The pouch is made of stockinette stitch knit in the round with eyelets at the top for a drawstring. The crescent moon and geometric patterns are made with the use of metallic seed beads. Add tassels, beads, or other embellishments to the drawstring for a little extra spice!
I’ll have it available on Ravelry soon, but for now, you can download the PDF here: Faux’ssuit Knitting Pattern
