I love color and texture…but then again, who wouldn’t? And until recently, I had almost completely forgotten about a handy little website called COLOURlovers. Have you been there yet? It’s a great source for finding unique color palettes and making your own from scratch, OR with the use of photos you’ve uploaded to the internet. You can also put the colors into different patterns…These are some photos I’ve taken in the last week that are inspiring me right now!
(I am preparing for fall with a new knit sweater! I’ve made quite a bit of progress on it since this photo was taken…)

inIt will be November in less than a week.
How did this happen?
This year has gone by so fast. I’ve realized that the older I get, the more I feel this, but…really?
I had hoped that these later months would be a little less hectic than the summer, but it seems that the opposite is true.
And, Lord help me, I am thinking about signing up for a craft bazaar in December. Just thinking about it, mind you…no danger there, right?
Anyway, I really should be sewing right now. But I wanted to share one of my favorite songs today. I couldn’t find it on youtube, so I created my own video last night! The photos are my own. The song is by Robin & Linda Williams, from the album Deeper Waters.

I am obsessed with this color scheme at the moment:
Gray (or taupe) paired with shocking lemon (or lime). This baby blanket is from the Purl bee, one of my current favorite blogs. I’ve actually noticed quite a few projects over there featuring very subtle neutrals paired with jarring neon colors…these socks are another favorite.
Surprisingly, I had a hard time finding pictures and projects with this color combination, but I did find a few on Etsy that I liked and decided to make a little treasury. And soon–I hope–I’ll stitch up my own neutral and neon piece!
